Volleyball Recap: Martin Luther Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Martin Luther was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pius XI Catholic Popes.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 25-16.

Leading Pius XI Catholic to victory were Finnley Beecham and Mariano Rivera. Beecham had five aces and four digs, while Rivera had 19 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Beecham has posted over his last six matchups.

Martin Luther's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pius XI Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Coming up, Martin Luther will face off against Greendale at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pius XI Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Nicolet on the 18th.
