Landon Davis put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for West Jessamine: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-15-1 otherwise.

Davis' strong effort led West Jessamine over Mercer County and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
