Basketball Game Preview: Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees vs. Laurel Gators

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees will head out on the road to square off against the Laurel Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brecksville-Broadview Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.

On Saturday, everything went Brecksville-Broadview Heights' way against North Royalton as Brecksville-Broadview Heights made off with a 57-37 victory. Given the Bees' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Bears are ranked 587th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights found their leader in sophomore Ashley Perdion, who went 6 for 12 en route to 16 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Perdion a new career-high. Bridget Barber was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Laurel beat Gilmour Academy 50-43 on Wednesday.

The win made it two in a row for Brecksville-Broadview Heights and bumps their season record up to 15-4. As for Laurel, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
