Chillicothe waltzed into their match on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Whetstone Braves 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

While Chillicothe won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-21.

Mercer Cutright paced Chillicothe's offense, picking up ten kills. Cutright got some help from David Rourke and his 29 assists. Cutright was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Chillicothe pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Whetstone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chillicothe is set to take on their familiar foe Grove City at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Whetstone will square off against rival Bishop Watterson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
