Basketball Recap: The Colony Has No Trouble Against Lake Travis

The Colony won the last time they faced Lake Travis and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went The Colony Cougars' way against the Lake Travis Cavaliers as The Colony Cougars made off with an 82-59 victory. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Colony is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Lake Travis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

The Colony wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-51 win against Richardson on the 27th. As for Lake Travis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-45 loss against East Central on the 27th.
