Recap: Overland Christian Eagle vs. Heartland Mustangs
The Overland Christian Eagle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 57-43 fall against Heartland. Overland Christian has struggled against Heartland recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Diego Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds for Heartland. Martinez is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Jayce Maiden was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Overland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Heartland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Overland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Heartland is on the road again on Saturday and plays Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on February 10th. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Heartland surely won't give up without a fight.
