Notre Dame-Green Pond gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Garden Spot Spartans by a score of 71-64.

Matt Bodnar went supernova for Notre Dame-Green Pond, throwing for 604 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 75.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards and a touchdown. Jonathan Striba was another key player, picking up 134 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Notre Dame-Green Pond's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. Notre Dame-Green Pond will take on Salisbury Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Garden Spot, they will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Lebanon on Friday.
