Basketball Recap: Morrisania Comes Up Short

Morrisania was the 37-29 winner over Young Women's Leadership when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Morrisania Lions fell to Young Women's Leadership 40-35. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morrisania's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Young Women's Leadership, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morrisania will welcome South Bronx on Saturday. Both have allowed few points on average, (South Bronx: 27.9, Morrisania: 30) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Young Women's Leadership, they will be playing at home against Morris at 4:30 p.m. on January 14th.
