The Walter Johnson Wildcats will square off against the Churchill Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Walter Johnson is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Sherwood on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Walter Johnson was dealt a 47-19 loss at the hands of Sherwood. The Wildcats were down 34-12 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Richard Montgomery 42-0. Churchill can attribute much of their success to Vasi Hallas, who punched in a rushing score, and also threw for 90 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. James Snead was in the mix too, providing Churchill with a touchdown.

Walter Johnson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for Churchill, they pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
