Baseball Recap: Christ School Takes a Loss

Christ School was the 13-12 winner over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Greenies fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Davis Jones was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Jonathan Reece was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Christ School is 2-1 when Reece posts one or more home runs, but 4-12-1 otherwise.

Christ School has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Christ School will welcome Asheville Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they are taking a road trip to take on Murphy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
