Football Recap: West Carter Takes a Loss

West Carter fell victim to Russell and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Red Devils 35-0. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Comets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jayden Frasure went supernova For Russell., throwing for 162 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punching in a pair of scores on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Frasure a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another big playmaker for Russell was Jayden Pennington, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Carter fell to 2-1. As for Russell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
