Football Recap: Rancho Bernardo Falls to Cathedral Catholic in First Game of Season

Rancho Bernardo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 34-6 loss at the hands of the Cathedral Catholic Dons on Monday.

Cathedral Catholic found their leader in sophomore Anna Janis, who picked up five sacks and made eight total tackles.

Coming up, Rancho Bernardo will face off against Poway at 5:15 p.m. on the 20th. As for Cathedral Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against Grossmont on the 14th.
