Volleyball Game Preview: Immanuel Christian Crusaders vs. Trona Tornadoes

Immanuel Christian is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Trona is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Crusaders will host the Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trona took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Immanuel Christian, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Immanuel Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Mojave, taking the game 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 20-25, 25-23.

Immanuel Christian can attribute much of their success to Elizabeth Lowry, who had 18 digs. Those 18 digs gave Lowry a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Trona came up short against Lee Vining on Saturday and fell 3-1.

Trona has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5-1 record this season. As for Immanuel Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.

Immanuel Christian skirted past Trona 3-2 in their previous matchup last Monday. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Tornadoes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
