Basketball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 84-72 to the Station Camp Bison. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Yellow Jackets still had to take the loss.

Station Camp got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Seth Bailey out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, Bailey is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Ty Thurston was another key player, going 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points along with eight assists and three steals.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Station Camp, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Springfield will challenge Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Station Camp, they will take on Gallatin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Gallatin's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Station Camp has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
