Softball Recap: Centennial Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Centennial barely beat Midlothian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 17-9 margin over the Panthers on Monday. Considering the Spartans have won 18 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryanne Stephens was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lexie Arthur, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in nine consecutive games.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Midlothian, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-8-1.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 21-0 win against Arlington Heights on the 26th. As for Midlothian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-2 victory against Chaparral on the 25th.
