Baseball Game Preview: Belpre Golden Eagles vs. Adena Warriors

The Belpre Golden Eagles will take on the Adena Warriors in a tournament on Tuesday.

Belpre is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Frontier just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-5.

Chris Copen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Hayden Tabler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Adena owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They blew past Trimble 6-0. The Warriors not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 14-1).

Belpre's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Adena, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
