Softball Preview: Baldwin Indians vs. Keystone Heights Indians
The Baldwin Indians will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Keystone Heights Indians at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Monday, Baldwin made easy work of Bradford and carried off a 21-8 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Baldwin.
Baldwin got a massive performance out of Makaila Fry, who went 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Jazmine Ramos-Merced was another key contributor, going 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Meanwhile, Keystone Heights scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Buchholz as Keystone Heights made off with a 20-5 win.
Delia Johnson was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Wagner, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Baldwin pushed their record up to 21-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Keystone Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
