Flag Football Recap: Garfield's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Huntington Park last Thursday, Garfield came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 27-14 to the Bell Eagles on Friday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Garfield's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-3. As for Bell, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Garfield will face off against rival South Gate at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bell is set to take on their familiar foe Roosevelt at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 11.2, the Rough Riders 10.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
