Basketball Recap: King Academy Comes Up Short

King Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 36-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wardlaw Academy Patriots. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 61-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wardlaw Academy can attribute much of their success to Noah Harper, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Colt Bailey, who posted nine points and six boards.

King Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Wardlaw Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.

King Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-36 loss against Anderson Christian on the 17th. Wardlaw Academy has also already played their next contest, a 45-39 defeat against Laurens Academy on the 17th.
