Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the DaVinci Lions. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2016.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-11.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for DaVinci, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on September 9. As for DaVinci, they will challenge Legacy Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
