Basketball Recap: Collin Andrews Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Merrill

Carson City-Crystal hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took down the Merrill Vandals 55-39 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-42 back in January.

Carson City-Crystal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Collin Andrews led the charge by going 6-for-9 en route to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Andrews a new career-high. Kieran Craddock was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 14 boards.

Carson City-Crystal's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Merrill, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Looking ahead, Carson City-Crystal will welcome Michigan Lutheran Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Michigan Lutheran Seminary will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Carson City-Crystal surely won't give up without a fight. As for Merrill, they are taking a road trip to challenge Montabella at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
