While Whitmore Lake didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed by the Southfield Christian Eagles to the tune of 41-14 on Thursday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.

The win (which was Whitmore Lake's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.3 points per game. As for Southfield Christian, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

Whitmore Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-16 victory against Novi Christian Academy on the 24th. Southfield Christian has also already played their next game, a 40-38 win against Canton Preparatory on the 24th.
