Basketball Recap: South Hills Comes Up Short

South Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Colony Titans.

Colony got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Destin Strauther out in front who went 6 for 11 en route to 17 points. Carter Johnson was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven boards.

South Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Colony, they moved to 6-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Hills will face off against AGBU at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in South Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Colony, they will take on San Dimas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. San Dimas knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Colony likes a good challenge.
