Adena had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Madison Plains Golden Eagles with a sharp 13-7 victory.

Allie Bossert was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Bossert was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Adena let Lexi Pettit and Adelynn Nelson run wild. Pettit went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI, while Nelson scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Marly Halcomb, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Looking ahead, Adena will be playing at home against Circleville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison Plains will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bishop Ready at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th.
