Volleyball Recap: Roxana Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Roxana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freeburg Midgets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Midgets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Roxana may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 16 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16.

Josie Brannon paced Roxana's offense, picking up five kills. Brannon got some help from Daisy Daugherty and her nine assists.

Roxana's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Freeburg, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Roxana wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Breese Central on the 6th. As for Freeburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Richland County on the 3rd.
