Basketball Recap: Las Vegas Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Las Vegas extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Tayshaun Jackson. The Las Vegas Wildcats slipped by the Valley Vikings 73-72 on Friday thanks in part to Jackson, who posted 31 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Las Vegas' points.

Another player making a difference was Mychael Walker, who went 5 for 9 en route to 17 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Las Vegas' victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Las Vegas will square off against Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Las Vegas' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Valley, they will take on Sunrise Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Valley is facing Sunrise Mountain at the right time seeing as Sunrise Mountain is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
