Softball Recap: Williamson Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Williamson's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Athens Wildcats on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Williamson's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Athens, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Williamson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wyalusing Valley at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Athens, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northeast Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2, the Panthers 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
