Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Baya Chamness and Paityn Wyatt Lead Aurora to Victory

Aurora had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Blair Bears.

Aurora had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.

Leading Aurora to victory were Paityn Wyatt and Baya Chamness. Wyatt had 11 digs, while Chamness had three digs and three aces. That's the most digs Wyatt has posted since back in September.

Despite the defeat, Blair saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addi Svehla had 26 digs and three aces. Svehla is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 25 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wolff, who had 39 assists and 14 digs.

Aurora's victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Blair, they dropped their record down to 21-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Aurora nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
