Basketball Recap: Golden Plains Takes a Loss

Golden Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-23 loss at the hands of Logan/Palco. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Defeat or not, Golden Plains got some senior leadership from Abraham Taylor and Josh Rath. Taylor posted six points and nine boards, while Rath earned six points.

Rhett Kats continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Logan/Palco, shooting 8-for-11 from deep and dropping a triple-double on 30 points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists. Kats' evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Caleb Sparks was another key player, going 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points and six boards.

Golden Plains' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Logan/Palco, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Golden Plains didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-38 win against Christian Family Educators on the 3rd. Logan/Palco has also already played their next match, an 87-25 victory against Triplains/Brewster on the 4th.
