Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask American Studies). They blew past Language & Tech 63-39 on Tuesday. Given American Studies' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while Language & Tech is ranked 830th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

American Studies has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Language & Tech, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

American Studies will face off against IN-Tech Academy at 4:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Language & Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge Bronx Leadership Academy at 4:30 p.m. on February 4th. Bronx Leadership Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Language & Tech likes a good challenge.
