Football Recap: Glenwood Springs Demons vs. Conifer Lobos

Friday just wasn't the day for Glenwood Springs's offense. They took a blow against the Conifer Lobos on Friday, falling 35-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Demons were not able to get on the board.

Emmit Nieslanik threw for 27 yards on six of nine attempts. On the ground, Lamanie Portillo rushed for 49 yards.

Conifer found their leader in sophomore Charlie Ostrowski, who threw for 205 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. Solomon Washer did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.

Glenwood Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Conifer, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Glenwood Springs and Conifer will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Demons will face off against rival Eagle Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Conifer is set to take on their familiar foe Skyview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
