Florida high school baseball stolen base leaders: Senior trio closing in on 40 at the top of leaderboard

More than 50 Floridians have swiped at least 24 bags in 2022.

A trio of fast seniors top the MaxPreps leaderboard for baseball base stealers in Florida. As of Wednesday, Matthew Henao of Westwood Christian (Miami), Anthony Williams of Rickards (Tallahassee) and Sebastian Grafmyre of Ida Baker (Cape Coral) have each stolen 38 bases in 2022.

Henao is averaging better than two steals per game as he's swiped all those bags in just 17 games, while Williams has done it in 22 games and Grafmyre in 25. Grafmyre is a three-sport standout for the Bulldogs, also playing football and basketball. He's hitting .489 with 43 hits and 35 runs.

In all, at least 50 Floridians have stolen 24 bases in 2022 with 12 having swiped at least 30.
