Pickens won the last time they faced Woodland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dragons came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Pickens not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Woodland to exactly 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17.

Edy Wyngaard paced Pickens' offense, picking up 12 kills. Wyngaard got some help from Sophia Derstine and her 25 assists. Derstine was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pickens' victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Woodland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-24 record this season.

Pickens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Chattooga on the 20th. As for Woodland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Excel Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m.
