Football Recap: Kailah Howard and Nevaeh Bautista Pace Palm Glades Prep Academy Defense

It's playoff time, and Palm Glades Prep Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Stallions a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 20-0 victory last Monday.

Palm Glades Prep Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kailah Howard and Nevaeh Bautista. Howard is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Palm Glades Prep Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Palm Glades Prep Academy will square off against Keys Gate at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 5.6, the Knights 15) so any points scored will be well earned. Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
