Baseball Game Preview: South Western Mustangs vs. William Penn Bearcats

South Western is a perfect 8-0 against William Penn since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bearcats at 10:30 a.m. South Western is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

South Western came into this matchup off a tough nine-run loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Northeastern by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since March 26th.

Meanwhile, William Penn had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hanover on Friday, sneaking past 8-6.

South Western's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for William Penn, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-9.

Everything went South Western's way against William Penn in their previous meeting on April 1st, as South Western made off with a 13-1 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
