Football Game Preview: Cypress Park Tigers vs. Waller Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Cypress Park Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Waller Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Park has given up an average of 55 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Park faced off against Cypress Woods on Thursday. The Tigers were dealt a 41-14 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Cypress Park might have lost, but man, Ja'Harvey Johnson was a machine: he rushed for 171 yards and one score. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 100.6 rushing yards per game.

Meanwhile, Waller was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cypress Springs 52-21. With the Bulldogs ahead 35-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Cypress Park better focus on containing Robert Carter and Tristin 'T.K' Gaines as the pair were huge in Waller's win. Carter gained 244 total yards, while 'T.K' Gaines threw for 302 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes. 92 of 'T.K' Gaines' passing yards were hauled in by Caden Sherry, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Waller was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Waller's record now sits at 6-3. As for Cypress Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Cypress Park was dealt a bruising 47-12 defeat at the hands of Waller in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
