Maranatha has gone 9-1 against Village Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Maranatha Minutemen will welcome the Village Christian Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. Maranatha's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Maranatha is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since December 13. Neither they nor Valley Christian could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Maranatha's goal came courtesy of Luca Youssefian, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Village Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They came out on top against Whittier Christian by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The Crusaders found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Felix Green and Diego Iglesias were both handed yellow cards.

Maranatha's draw makes their record 5-9-2 this season. As for Village Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Everything went Maranatha's way against Village Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Maranatha made off with a 4-0 win. Will Maranatha repeat their success, or does Village Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
