Softball Recap: Wellington School Comes Up Short

Wellington School came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 18-1 to the Fisher Catholic Irish. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Irish recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Wellington School's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fisher Catholic, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wellington School will square off against Berne Union at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.27 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fisher Catholic, they will face off against Grove City Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
