Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Humble Christian

Grace Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 45-34 to the Humble Christian Cougars on Thursday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Humble Christian can attribute much of their success to Pierce Starlard, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine steals.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will welcome Brazosport Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Humble Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Houston Adventist Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
