Volleyball Game Preview: La Joya Coyotes vs. Mission Eagles

La Joya hasn't had much luck against Mission recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Coyotes will take on the Eagles in a tournament on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While La Joya didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-25), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial on Friday.

Meanwhile, Mission earned a 2-0 victory over IDEA Edinburg College Prep on Thursday. That looming 2-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

La Joya's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Mission, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

La Joya might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Mission in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Can the Coyotes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
