Basketball Recap: Homestead Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Homestead won the last time they faced Fremont and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Homestead Mustangs came out on top against the Fremont Firebirds by a score of 42-32. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Firebirds are ranked 751st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Homestead is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Fremont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Homestead will challenge Santa Clara at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Homestead is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. Fremont has already played their next game (against Cupertino), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
