Baseball Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

Firebaugh couldn't beat Mendota on Tuesday even though they stacked 11 runs on them in the fifth inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Aztecs by a score of 17-16. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Aztecs: they've now lost four in a row.

Firebaugh got a massive performance out of Eli Miller, who went 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Player #3 also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Mendota, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-13.

As of now, neither Firebaugh nor the Aztecs have any future games scheduled.
