Soccer Game Preview: Catoosa vs. Sequoyah

The Catoosa Indians will take on the Sequoyah Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Catoosa will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Catoosa barely beat Mannford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Catoosa's defense stepped up to hand Mannford an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. Catoosa might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sequoyah fell victim to Oologah and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Mustangs.

Catoosa's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those four contests. As for Sequoyah, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Catoosa came out on top in a nail-biter against Sequoyah when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will Catoosa repeat their success, or does Sequoyah has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
