Flag Football Recap: El Dorado Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for El Dorado's offense. They fell 8-0 to the Villa Park Spartans on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in September.

Victoria Correa threw for 70 yards on ten of 17 attempts. Julia Laguilles was her top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

El Dorado dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Villa Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. El Dorado is set to challenge their familiar foe El Modena at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Golden Hawks 12.9, the Vanguards 12.3) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Villa Park will face off against rival Troy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
