It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Meridian Hawks can now relate to. They fell 67-55 to the Sages on Monday. Meridian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Monticello apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Meridian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Colton Denny, who scored 18 points. Sebastian Hill was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Monticello, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
Meridian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monticello also has no future games currently scheduled.
