St. Augustine Catholic comes up short despite Peter Dogbegah's strong performance

Recap: St. Augustine Catholic Wolves vs. Chandler Prep Titans

After flying high against the Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas last Friday, the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves came back down to earth. St. Augustine Catholic fell 62-49 to Chandler Prep on Wednesday. St. Augustine Catholic has not had much luck with Chandler Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, St. Augustine Catholic still got an impressive performance from Peter Dogbegah, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lance Marchessault, who scored 11 points along with two steals.

Chandler Prep was led to victory by Caleb So and Noah Ruiz. So scored 26 points, while Ruiz dropped a triple-double on 16 points, ten rebounds, and 11 assists. Ruiz hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Grant Hopper was another key contributor, scoring six points.

St. Augustine Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Chandler Prep, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

St. Augustine Catholic will take on Tempe Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Augustine Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.6 points per game this season. As for Chandler Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Santa Cruz Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chandler Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday.
