Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Rancho). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Santa Fe Chiefs 70-43. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Dons with their most commanding win of the season.

Adam Rivas was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. He has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Morones, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 16 points and six boards.

El Rancho's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21.5 points. As for Santa Fe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

El Rancho will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Whittier at 5:15 p.m. One thing working in Whittier's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. Santa Fe has already played their next contest (against La Serna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
