Football Recap: Kenneth Christmon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tindley over Monroe Central + How To Watch

Tindley extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They came up short against the Monroe Central Golden Bears, falling 45-20. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 29-19 to the Golden Bears when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenneth Christmon, who threw for 318 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown. Zaiden Long was Christmon's top target, picking up 156 receiving yards and one score.

As for Monroe Central, their record now sits at 2-3. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Monroe Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caden Dance out in front who rushed for 96 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 96 rushing yards gave Dance a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Luedike, who rushed for 126 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Looking ahead, Tindley will head out on the road to challenge Purdue Poly Englewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monroe Central, they will welcome Wes-Del at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
