Recap: South Haven Cardinals vs. West Elk Patriots

The South Haven Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against West Elk, falling 60-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Haven has scored all season.

Leading West Elk to victory were Maddex Moreno and Uriah Tillapaugh. Moreno scored 17 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, while Tillapaugh almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tillapaugh has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Garett Usry, who scored seven points.

South Haven has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for West Elk, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Haven will take on the on Monday. As for West Elk, they will head out on the road to challenge the Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sedan will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
