Basketball Game Preview: Elliot Christian Eagles vs. Humphreys Able Charter Legacy

The Elliot Christian Eagles will head out to challenge the Humphreys Able Charter Legacy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Elliot Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Humphreys Able Charter likes a good challenge.

Elliot Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Don Pedro: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Elliot Christian blew Don Pedro out of the water with a 64-11 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-5.

Jeremy Nielsen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Elliot Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Kirby, who posted four points and 27 boards.

Elliot Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 38 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Humphreys Able Charter entered their tilt with Lodi Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Titans 52-36.

Elliot Christian better keep an eye on Joshua Thompson. He was instrumental in Humphreys Able Charter's win, putting up 19 points. Those 19 points gave Thompson a new career-high. Khamseng Milavong was another key player, posting 11 points.

The victory got Humphreys Able Charter back to even at 3-3. As for Elliot Christian, their record is now 6-9.
